Confidentiality
In harmony with the rules of the Supreme Judicial Court, all claims filed with the Board are treated confidentially. All proceedings before the Board are also confidential. The rules, however, allow the Board to provide a copy of the claim form to investigative agencies such as the Office of Bar Counsel, the U.S. Attorney, the Attorney General, or a District Attorney. The Board also may publicize its decisions and awards, but such publicity will not include the identity of the claimant.
